London and Placebo

LONDON, The 02 Arena
9.12.2009

Outside the O2-Arena

The Silversun Pickups.
They were really nice, they reminded me of MEW, and I really like Mew.
+It was nice that they had a woman in the band.

The Horrors.
Didn't like them much. I thought they sounded a little off key or something. And it seemed that they didn't connect with the audience much.... but I was quite far away, so it can be that I just missed that part. :)

Placebo

Great again! I really liked this show too (I had seen them some weeks before, in Berlin and in Helsinki). They had changed their set list a bit, there was no Cambodia-versions of the songs Because I Want You or Twenty Years and no Soulmates. But there was Happy You're Gone, it sounded really good live.

I was surprised that Placebo played a shorter set list here than in Berlin or in Helsinki even. And Brian didn't talk as much either; in Finland he spoke A LOT in between songs and in Berlin he spoke a lot too. Weird!
The audience seemed a little milder than in Finland or Germany; it was a complete madness in Berlin!
Or maybe it was just because I couldn't get a standing ticket and was forced to watch the audience from high above. I was quite pissed about that ;)

Anyways it was a great show!
+ I missed Expatriate a little; I thought they were a really nice band.
+Highlights for me: Speak In Tongues, Happy You're Gone, Trigger Happy (this time I really knew the words), Meds, Devil In The Details (Brian forgot the lyrics in the beginning) and Bright Lights.

London was a great place to visit. I really liked the atmosphere in the city, there were lots of Christmas decorations and stuff on the streets. A nice trip!

My feet and I at Madame Tussauds.
