Well, I decided to write about my musical background... sounds really fancy but it isn't:)
Anyway, first band I ever really liked was Spice Girls (embarrassing to admit). I was like 11 years old.
After that I listened to Bon Jovi for a while. I bought a guitar and started to practice. Then HIM released their first album; Greatest lovesongs vol. 666 and I was blown away. I started to collect posters, pictures and anything I could find about HIM and Ville Valo, the lead singer. They released their second album; Razorblade Romance and they became really, really popular in Finland and also in other European countries. I was really obsessed with them and I loved Ville Valo very much.
In the summer of 2002 I saw HIM first time live in Tammerfest festival in Tampere. It was really amazing event for me. In that same year I met Ville Valo and it was really, really awesome!!!!
I also found some other bands that I started to listen and became a fan of; The 69 Eyes, Negative and Nirvana. After that I started to go to as many gigs and festivals as possible. Music really became my life.
In the year 2008 I heard 30 Seconds To Mars song The Kill from a Finnish radio station and fell in love with it. I started to search other of their songs from Youtube and fell in love with them all. I became an Echelon and I am a huge fan of theirs. I have seen them live now 3 times, 2.8.2008 in Jäähalli, 12.3.2010 in Jäähalli and 18.6.2010 in Provinssirock.
+12.03.2010 30 Seconds To Mars was giving autographs in Stockmann before their show, so I got to meet Jared and Shannon in person. Too bad that Tomo wasn't there.
+18.06.2010 I won this competition and got to meet them at Provinssirock. Yey, I was so VIP, it was my first time to be on backstage.
Also in the year 2008 I became familiar with this band called IAMX. Their music is really amazing and my taste in music has became more open to other kinds of music styles because of this band. Also I started listening to Dope Stars Inc. and Nine Inch Nails.
In the spring of 2009 I saw this music video from German MTV and the song really got stuck in my head. It was Placebos new song; For What It's Worth. A few days later I was watching the same channel and they showed Placebos concert from that years Rock Am Ring. I was blown-away. What an awesome band!! I had of course heard of them before and heard some of their songs before, but this was like an eye-opening for me. I bought all their records and was really happy that they came to Finland, Jäähalli on 15.11.2010. It was the best concert I had ever been in... seriously!! I was in the front and the evening was just perfect, even though I was a little starstruck at the beginning and couldn't believe that it was real. A week later I saw them again in Berlin, and a few weeks after that in London.
My newest "music findings" are Lady Gaga, Hurts, Editors, Expatriate and Adam Lambert.
To be continued......
